I don’t
have a huge recap from the weekend. It
was Daniel’s first weekend back in school after having the month of July off
(boo). The girls and I headed to the
rivah for the day on Saturday to get in some sun time. I didn't get much sun time in myself because
Hayden was sleepy soon after we got on the beach, so back to the house I went
to put her down for a nap. Not that I would have relaxed on the beach with two
littles - oh the joys of pre-kids and the beach. Did you just fantasize about
that for a minute?! Yeah, me too.
I lost my
sunglasses and these were the only ones my parents had as extras – I’m kinda liking them!
Hadleigh
had to wear a hat so the sun doesn't get to her scar – she would only wear this
one. Daddy and Gramps were so proud. #CoorsLightFamily
We came
back Saturday night because I wanted to be back and wake up in my own bed on my
birthday. J
We didn't do anything crazy Sunday – just ran some errands to get the office
put together. We stopped to see some
friends of ours, whose house I’m in love with.
I definitely left there with some house decor ideas ;) That night we ate
at a local restaurant with my parents.
It was nice not having to think about or cook dinner – it’s the little
things.

Your girls are sooo cute!! I so know what you mean about pre baby beach days. I thought the same thing this weekend when we took our girls to the pool. It is a completely different ballgame.

Thanks!! Isn't it funny the things you remember and/or long for once you have kids? I wouldn't trade it, but I don't even remember what napping on the beach is like!
DeleteAHH your girls are too precious! AND I love those glasses on you!! Hope your birthday was fabulous! :)
ReplyDeleteI brought the sunglasses home, but I haven't worn them around yet ;)
DeleteHappy birthday!!! It sounds like a pretty nice weekend to me! I'm liking the sunnies on you too!
