Thanksgiving

So another Thanksgiving has gone by....way too fast!  We had a total of 3 Thanksgiving dinners (this might explain the 5 pounds I've gained...ugh!)

First stop was Daniel's grandparents house - great food and family time.  The only picture I got was of Daniel trying on his gradma's glasses....hilarious!
We ended the day at my uncle's girlfriend's house.  We were pretty stuffed from the lunch, but we both squeezed in some sweet potato casserole - which is my favorite dish on Thanksgiving!  I was excited to get there and play with Erik! Here's a few pictures of our cutie of a nephew :) Love him!

Friday night we went to Carter & Ashley's house for another Thanksgiving dinner - this time with friends.  It was delicious! A lot of things we didn't have to eat the night before we got to eat there.  I took pictures but somehow my card was popped out of place, and the pictures got saved directly onto my camera.  As soon as I figure out how to get those off, I'll post to this.  For now, I only have one picture from that night and it's pretty bad quality....

Daniel and I are thankful for so much this year! <3

Blog It!

So this past weekend I headed out to Blacksburg for girls weekend and to see a Tech game.  Ragan's been alone the past few months since Dustin's been in rotations for medical school, so we wanted to get up there to keep her company.  Dustin surprised her on Thursday night by coming home - but the girls still made the trip out there and we had so much fun!

Sarah & Chelsea drove from Northern VA out there Friday night.  I rode out there with Michelle, her brother, sister-in-law, and another friend.  We decided to spice up the long drive out there and drink....the car ride was super loud but tons of fun.
Here we are at a gas station posing for a picture with the tiger
Here's the back seat occupants - notice we're drinking JOOSE....bad decision.

Once we got to Blacksburg Ragan, Chelsea, and Sarah picked me up and took me to their Townhouse.  Ragan and Dustin are always greats hosts
Saturday morning we woke up and started immediately getting ready for the game.  The girls all started talking about how I am a blogger now, yet none of them actually read this.  So the joke of the weekend was to get as many pictures for my blog as possible - "BLOG IT!".  This might be a long post....
We started out by stopping of at Kroger to get some beer and a few tailgate goodies.  Chelsea is a vegetarian, so we had to take the opportunity to picture her choice of tailgate food:
1.  Whole french bread baggette - Check!
2.  Whole Avacado - Check!
3.  Wedge of Blue Cheese - Check!

Then we were off to tailgate! So much fun! We actually decided to stay out and tailgate the entire time instead of going into the actual game. Everytime we heard the crowd cheer we knew Tech scored.  Here's many pictures from our tailgate experience.
Love us!
Above you will notice that Ragan is drinking a "Four Loko" (Sp?)- 12% alcohol in the one drink.  This is what it does to you.......

Below is where I had to give Pat (Dustin and Ragan's uncle) a pep talk.  We were playing flip cup and he wouldn't set down his cigar....it was messing with his game.
VERY Serious....

Then we decide to take some jumping action pictures - best idea of the day I think....
Get Ready to Jump!

Jump! Minus Chelsea....
Then it was the boys time....minus Pat

Ragan had some tissue issues the entire day....that and Four Loko - bad mix!

Having so much tissue problems that she resorted to using the french bread baggette wrapping....yes that is what I said....
Chelsea in the background is hilarious though - eating her tailgate food and looking a little scared.

After tailgating we went out to a bar - we had so much fun dancing around!

I will end with this picture....

Girls weekend is always a good time! Can't wait until the next one! <3

Kristy & Michael's House!!!

Yesterday I drove to see Kristy & Michael's new house that they are renting.  It was overdue, but I'm so glad I made it out there yesterday!
They have such a cute house on the Mattaponi River - the inside was very tastefully done and the best part was that it was already furnished! Michael built a fire pit outside, so we sat around that for a little while just talking.  It was a beautiful day.  We took a few pictures looking out over the river before I left...
This is the view from her house right outside her back door. GORGEOUS!
Here's Kristy & I with the river in the background.
Then on the way home, I stopped and took a few pictures of the cotton field.  I don't remember the last time I've seen one, so I wanted to stop and snap a few pictures!

I really cannot wait to go back to their house!

Crazy Couple of Weekends...

So I guess I should post some party pictures....

Although don't get too excited because I'm not going to be showing the embarrassing ones :)

The last 3 weekends have been out of control. Daniel and I have had a lot of fun going out with our friends!

After the Oyster Festival the river community had a little shindig in the field next to Daniel's parents house.  They had a live band, so we were dancing and drinking. It was pretty chilly, but the dancing warmed us all up!

We also went out for Frank's 25th Birthday one night.  The night ended up at Bandito's 80's night - which means it was a BLAST! Tons of dancing!

I love our friends!!!!! <3 p="">

Urbana Oyster Festival

Saturday November 7th - Daniel, Steven, Michelle, and I headed to the river in early afternoon.  We settled for a few minutes before we headed to the Oyster Festival.  It's my first year going and I definitely will be going back! For a few reasons:
1.  The people.  I love people watching.  It's a festival so of course there will be plenty of people to watch - and VERY interesting people at that.  The whole day we kept pointing at random people and making funny comments.  Rude? Maybe. Fun? ABSOLUTELY.
2.  The food. I'm not an oyster fan at all (although I've never tried them, but I can assure you I've looked at them...and that's quite enough).  We first stopped and got a cup of the Killer Crab Soup.  It was amazing! I wish I would have paid for a huge bucket to bring home with me.  We had to stop again....5 minutes later for Daniel and Michelle to get a corn dog. Daniel let me have a few bits and it was delicious as well.  At the end of the day I got a fried green tomato sandwich with Ranch dressing - which was really good! No food which is good for you, but that's the best kind right?!
3.  Alcohol. They had a wine tasting which Michelle and I really wanted to do, but didn't.  I can assure you next year I will be hitting that up.  So we went to the Beer Garden instead.  They have Coors Light cups which is very deceiving because they were only selling Miller Lite....I guess you have to take what you can get.  There was a band playing as well - and let me tell you they are NOT one of the reasons to come back again!
4.  The cute little town.  They shut down the streets around the entire town, which is pretty neat.  Most of the little quaint stores stay open so you can walk through them - we didn't walk through any of the stores, but it's good to know it's an option. :-)

Honeymoon!

OK...so I wanted to be packed by Thursday night before the wedding festivities started....didn't happen. Saturday came along and we still weren't packed, so the plan was to pack everything the night of the wedding.  We get home, we're exhausted, so we decided to set the alarm for 3am which was an hour before his parents were going to be there to pick us up to take us to the airport. Yeah...the alarm never went off, so we are woken up by his parents calling us to tell us they're outside waiting. SWEET - we busted our butts to get stuff thrown in the suitcase!
Main thing I didn't pack: MAKE-UP - so I look about 15 years old in all my pictures. You'd think I was able to find mascara atleast - NOPE.

Day 1: We got to Mexico at 1pm, but we were super tired, so we just layed around the room. Didn't even leave to eat - just ordered room service :)

Day 2: We went on a "Jungle Tour" with our own SpeedBoat.  Daniel drove of course! After we went through the "jungle", which by the way wasn't really a jungle, we snorkeled the reef.

Day 3: We hung out around the resort.  I loved every night at dinner b/c it was just Daniel and I where we could talk about the wedding and anything else that came to mind! It was great!

Day 4: We toured Chichen Itza which was AMAZING!

Day 5: Laid back day!

Day 6: We went to Xel-Ha for the entire day - it was absolutely gorgeous! They have so many activities for you to do there!
