Hadleigh has quite the fun personality! She's so funny when we "chase" her or coming to "get" her. Enjoy!

Katherine & John's Engagement Party!
Last Saturday, Daniel and I went to Katherine & John's engagement party at James River Cellars. I had never been there but it was really cute and quaint. Katherine's sister-in-law and family friend did a great job planning! Daniel and I are really looking forward to these guys' wedding! They're such a fun couple and they just so happen to be getting married at The Wilton House (which just so happens to be where Daniel and I tied the knot almost 2 years ago!) Knowing Katherine, everything will be perfectly decorated!

Kelli's 30th Birthday
The night before Kelli's 30th (yep 3-0!) the family all got together for dinner. We all met at Kelli and Chey's house and we had a delicious dinner - pesto chicken! It was so good - definitely going into the dinner rotation. We all just watched Erik & Hadleigh play, which is always fun. We had some carrot cake to celebrate and then we were home to get ready for bed. Kelli said 30 was just another day - I hope I feel as if it's just another day when I get there!

Lunch with some gAls
It worked out that a few of us girls got to do lunch the other week. Mary, Kristy, Lily, Morgan, Jen, Kara, Easton, Hadleigh and I :) We all met at O'Charley's and had a nice but hectic lunch. Mary & Morgan might have left that lunch not wanting kids for a while! It definitely was a lot different than most of the get togethers we are all used to. Not much conversation as Kara, Lily, and Hadleigh were all over the place. It was fun and so nice to see a few of the girls -especially while Mary was in town for the day!

O.A.R.
For Father's Day I bought Daniel tickets to go see OAR at Innsbrook. It happened to be 5 days after we went to see Darius Rucker. We had such a great time! Jason was nice enough to get us into the Miller skybox, and even got us to the front row to get a more impactful experience :) The concert was not as crowded as Darius, which was nice. It was super hot, but we all got through it (even though in some pictures we might look pretty bad!).

Darius Rucker
Thursday 7/7, Daniel and I went to see Darius Rucker out at Insbrook After Hours. We both really like his music and were excited to go out there to see him. Daniel's parents watched Hadleigh that evening while we were there and on our way home we picked her up. There were so many people there! I never remember it being that busy last time I went. It was still pretty fun, but I didn't really feel like I was at a concert.
Darius played all of his singles including some of his Hootie and the Blowfish singles, which was fun! We had a good time just hanging out with friends!

Independence Day 2011
Our actual July 4th was pretty low-key. The biggest outing we did that day was grocery shopping - woohoo! I of course dressed Hadleigh in her festive dress, and snapped a few pictures. She was all laughs that afternoon, so shortly after she went down for her nap. Enjoy!
We discovered the laundry basket is a pretty fun game as well!
Those smiles are the best thing in the world (well...other than the laugh that goes with it!)

Weekend before July 4th
The beginning of our long weekend was spent at the river. We had a lot of family come down on Saturday and Sunday, so it was pretty busy. We did get some sun and water time in though. They had a party Saturday night, but we didn't stay too long cause we had to get Miss Hadleigh to bed.
We ended up coming back home Sunday evening, so we could go to Kelli's house for a small get together. We had a lot of fun and Hadleigh got to see a few fireworks for the first time! She wasn't scared at all.

All in all it was a really nice busy weekend! We love seeing our friends and family every chance we get :)
