Shopping adventures

The same weekend Daniel and I found out we were having a girl - we went shopping of course!  Saturday we went to Babies R Us to do a little registering and while we were there we picked up a few clothes.  It was fun finally knowing what we were shopping for.  Sunday we ended up taking our moms to USA Baby to help us pick out furniture.  It was a very successful trip! We picked all babygirl's furniture for the room, her bedding, and even a door jumper daddy had to get her!
Here's the dresser/hutch/changing table we'll be using in her room.  All the furniture is in cherry finish, even though these pictures show black.
We also got her crib to match....
We decided on her bedding - which we love!!!!
Daniel saw this jumper that you hang in the doorway and was really excited to get it for his daughter <3 so cute.
We're a few steps closer to being ready for her big arrival! We actually won't get the furniture in until I'm about 32 weeks - so it better come no later than that.  I really want her room done for her arrival home :)

We're having a.....

Friday April 30th was our 20 week appointment.  We were super excited to find out what we are having....
Daniel and I both didn't care what it was - boy or girl - as long as the baby was healthy.  Daniel really thought it was a boy - and I didn't really have a hunch either way, but I think deep down I figured it probably was going to be a boy as well.  We had our ultrasound first, and of course the tech took all of the measurements before she told us.  Then she looked and confirmed that we were having a baby girl!! Daniel and I both looked at eachother, smiled, and kind of laughed.  Then I of course started crying! We're so excited!  Everything went pretty well, but I need to go back for another ultrasound at 32 weeks - which I'm fine with because I get to see my babygirl one more time in my belly before she comes out!
We made reservations at Brio Tuscan Grille for our family that night.  We wanted to tell everyone at the same time.  Unfortunately, Steve & Steven weren't able to make it to dinner because they had to work (stupid races!).  It was Daniel, my mom & dad, Daniel's mom, Kelli, Chey & Erik.  It worked out neat because my mom had brought a blue bag and a purple bag each with a gift for us.  One for each gender, since she didn't know.  She set out the gift bags and Daniel did a "fake out" like he was going for the blue bag, but then took the purple bag - and everyone flipped! They were so excited! The moms and Kelli all got teary-eyed.  I wouldn't have done it any other way!  Here's a few pictures from dinner - unfortunately, we didn't get any of the group :(  I ended up getting a small dessert, but Erik ended up devouring it - so enjoy!

What we've been up to...

I'm going to take it back a month, since I haven't updated in a while.  We went to the river for Easter weekend - it was so nice! Daniel's parents just bought a new boat, so we went out on that Saturday & Sunday.  It was a little choppy on Saturday, which made Daniel and I both nervous about the baby.  But everything was OK!
We left the river and went straight to my parents for family dinner.  It was yummy to say the least - and it's always nice to see the fam - especially Erik <3!  Isis & Duke love playing outside with the next-door neighbor's dog Bear - they do not leave the fence the whole time.
I got some good ones of Erik too :)  He's getting so big....walking and running around everywhere and talking up a storm.  We can only really understand a few words, but we love hearing him jibberjabber.

We had a great Easter weekend - Can't wait to spend it next year with our new addition to the family!
