Friday! Friday!

1// Frozen // oh wait? You don’t get singing performances at your house? I’m sorry.
2// Half Bathroom Update // Wood plank wall is complete!  Whoop Whoop! My dad and Daniel busted it out last Sunday.  I even got to use the nail gun several times to nail some of those bad boys to the wall.  Can’t wait to start on the next step.
3// Husband Time // I’m hoping for a date night this weekend.  I really want to go see American Sniper…or go rock climbing for the first time…or sleep…or do.everything.  Or do NOTHING. Do you have this problem?  Date nights are rare, so when we get one – I want to make the most of it.
4// Brunch with girlfriends // tomorrow I’m having brunch with three of my girlfriends [Sans kids]. Should be a fun time.  We’re trying Helen’s for the first time, so hopefully it’s good!
5// Giveaway // Have you entered the $100 cash giveaway?? If not, you should!

Random Friday Thoughts

1 – Our house has been hit with the flu L No good!  I’m pretty sure Hadleigh brought it from school since 6 of her classmates are out sick – which is crazy.  Hadleigh hasn't had a fever at all, but has had a little bit of a cough.  Then Harper started with a fever, so we decided to take them all to the doctor.  I was sure Hadleigh was going to have strep, but no – tested positive for the flu.  Harper tested positive as well.  Hayden had just started with a fever when we took her, so her flu test was negative at the time – but the doc said she probably had it as well.  We left with prescriptions of Tamiflu.  $165 later – we were at home.  Yesterday was rough.  Hadleigh was thankfully fine – bored out of her mind.  Hayden, poor thing, spiked a fever of 104.2.  We were going to take her to the ER if a bath and some Motrin didn't bring it down, but thankfully it did.  Harper battled with the wheezing and fevers of 102.5.  There is nothing worse than seeing your babies feel so horrible.  By night time, Hayden seemed to be doing a bit better but Harper was still cranky.  I’m hoping they are on the mend though!
2 – Postpartum hair loss is growing back- and it’s in full force.  These little hairs are sticking straight up out of my head and it is insane.
3- Tomorrow I’m heading to Raleigh, NC to see one of my girlfriends and meet her new baby boy that was born at the end of October.  Eeekkk! Annddd less than 24 hours since writing this post - I have chest congestion and a cough. No traveling for me. I'm hoping I don't get it bad, but didn't want to get my friends sick! wahhhh

4- Daniel has finished mudding the half bath and drilling down the backer board.  We will be working on tile and the wood wall soon!!   I had a nautical theme all thought up in my head, and then Daniel told me he wasn't a fan. So…back to the drawing board.  We are keeping the same colors though, so that won’t change.

5-  We made reservations for a fun family weekend in February to Massanutten Resort.  Hadleigh had mentioned she wanted to play in the snow, so I looked up places for a weekend getaway.  Not only do they have the option to go tubing, there’s a little indoor water park we can all enjoy as well.   I can’t wait to get away and have some fun!!

and a little extra goodie is a picture of myself and some friends from a 4th grade field trip. Fanny packs & sunglasses were apparently super cool!!

Happy Friday y'all!!

It's Friday!!

Sister love: I love these two so much. Especially when they are sweet, loving, and giggly with each other!
Check out this video of them giggling together last night:

Hadleigh’s First movie:  Sunday I took Hadleigh to her first movie at the movie theater!  It was a friend from school’s birthday party and we went to see “Planes”.  I was nervous on how she would do, but she did awesome!  We left the movies twice to go potty, but other than that, she sat and watched the entire thing. It was a really cute movie.

I have this decanter from Pottery Barn on my mind to get for our new cabinet, but for some reason I can’t click the button to order.  I really want it monogrammed, but it approaches $50!  Any better ideas?

My sister and her family head into town tonight for the first time since they left in May to move to Charleston, SC.  The cousins will definitely get in some quality playing time here and at the Rivah later this week J

Tomorrow we have Hadleigh’s birthday party at the local children’s museum.  We are really excited to celebrate with family and a few friends.  Cannot believe we’ll have a 3 year old next week! Full update post on how our 3 year old is doing coming soon!

2.  My loves were playing so well this week together - here's to hoping it lasts!
3.  I'm headed to the River on Sunday evening to be with my hubby, the girls, and both of our parents for the night.
4.  This is the reason I won't be at the river until Sunday evening. I'm headed to Topsail Beach for the weekend!
5.  Topsail beach with these 3 girls and a bunch of other lovely ladies! We will be celebrating my friend Mary  as she is getting married at the end of June.

What do you guys have planned on this holiday weekend??

High Five 4 Friday!!

1.  This beauty was parked outside of the hotel I stayed at for two nights this week.  Unfortunately, it’s not real.  How cool would it be if it was?!

2.  Just a little glimpse of my life at the conference.

3.  They happened to have a photo booth there as well, so I took full advantage.

4.  I missed this face while I was gone.  Here she is showing me that she put makeup on her eyes and cheeks. Oh my. It’s definitely my lipstick she found in my purse.

5.  I also missed this face, who just so happened to start crawling for real last night!

High Five 4 Friday

  1.    We will be spending a lot of time with these boys this weekend.  It’s Kelli’s (my sister) fam’s LAST weekend here in Virginia.  Hasn't hit me yet – it will definitely be weird not having them 15 minutes away.  The boys & girls are going to miss each other so much!

2.    Guillaume Lorentz. DO I need to say more?! I just stumbled across this video this week (from a friend on Facebook) and I’m obsessed.  Is it scary that in my head I totally think I could dance like that? Haha.

3.   Josh Kelley & Katherine Heigl & daughter Naleigh – cutest family ever. Another video I stumbled across this week is this one.  And again, I’ve had it on repeat this week at work. So sweet - not only the song, but the video too.

  4.   Hayden is the big 9 months this week! (as of 4/24) I cannot believe it!  Her 9 month post will be up in a few days J She is getting so big!

I know that's only 4 for this week, but that's all I got!
xoxo

High Five 4 Friday

1.  I get to see this pretty lady tomorrow at her baby shower! She’s the cutest pregnant (even though I know she doesn’t feel cute)! And today happens to be her birthday! Happy Birthday mama! I love you so!
2. In addition to seeing above, I get to see all these ladies too (plus a few others who are missing in this picture) SUPER EXCITED! We’ve all been friends since elementary school , so I love getting to see them all at once.
3. Daniel and I bought a kid size toilet this week. Yep. We needed a new toilet for the kids bathroom, so we decided to get a kids toilet – make sense!  We’re hoping Hadleigh thinks it’s super cool and will magically start to go pee on the potty. Don’t crush our dreams.
4. I’ve of course my week has consisted of these 2 sweet faces, so no High Five 4 Friday would be complete without them! Love them to death!
5. I'm loving my nails this week, but it's time to move to another color...I'm thinking yellow? We'll see next week!

Have a great Weekend!!
